Innit, Inc., Innit International SCA and Innit BV (also referred to as “Innit”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respect your privacy. Innit, Inc., Innit International SCA and Innit BV (also referred to as “Innit”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respect your privacy.

Innit is responsible for the processing of personal information collected and processed via Innit’s website or application.

This Privacy Policy describes the personal data we collect from you and how we use that data when you access or use our website, mobile applications, or other products and services (collectively, the "Services"), or when you otherwise interact with us. This Privacy Policy does not apply to other Internet or mobile sites or applications, even if accessed via our Services. By using the Services, you consent to our use and disclosure of your personal data as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

For E.U. clients, this Privacy Policy complies with the EU Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC Framework as set forth by the European Union regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal data from European Union member countries and Switzerland which has been repealed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

EU-US privacy shield

Innit Inc. participates in the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks which was designed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission to provide companies on both sides of the Atlantic with a mechanism to comply with data protection requirements when transferring personal data from the European Union to the United States in support of transatlantic commerce.

What is personal data?

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

Types of personal data we collect


Information you provide to us

We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you create an account, make a purchase, participate in interactive areas of our Services, connect your third party loyalty accounts to our Services, communicate with us via third party social media sites, participate in our contests, promotions, sweepstakes and surveys, request customer support or otherwise communicate with us. The types of personal data we may collect include your name, email address, phone number, billing address, shipping address, shopping loyalty account information and purchase history (if you chose to connect such accounts to our Services), information you store on our Services, photographs, social media usernames and any other information you choose to provide.

Information we collect automatically

When you access or use our Services, we automatically collect information about you and we may associate it with information that you provide directly to us. For example, we may collect:

  • - Mobile Device Information: When you access or use our mobile sites or apps, we may collect information about the mobile phone or tablet, including the hardware model, operating system and version, device identifiers, mobile network information and information about your use of our mobile applications. 
  • - Connected Kitchen Appliance Information: In some cases, you might access or use our Services to control, gather information from, or otherwise interface with a smart appliance in your connected kitchen, such as an oven, refrigerator, or other appliance capable of interfacing with our Services (a “Connected Appliance”). Such connection may occur by WiFi, Bluetooth, or by having our software Services integrated within the Connected Appliance, and in such cases we may collect information about your use of the Services and the Connected Appliance. 
  • - Transaction Information: When you make a purchase or a return, we collect information about the transaction, such as the class or product details, the transaction amount and the date of the purchase/return. Note that we do not collect or store payment card information, such as credit card numbers.   • - Website Log Information: We log information about your use of our website, such as your computer's operating system, the type of browser you use, access times, pages viewed, your IP address and the web page that referred you to our site.
  • - Location Information: We may collect information about your location when you access or use one of our mobile applications or otherwise consent to the collection of this information.   • - Information Collected by Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies: We and our service providers use various technologies, including cookies and web beacons, to collect information about you when you interact with our Services or emails, including information about your browsing and purchasing behaviour. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us improve our website and your experience, see which areas and features of our website are popular and count visits. Web beacons are electronic images that may be used on our website or in our emails and help deliver cookies, count visits and understand usage and campaign effectiveness. Information we collect from other sources

We may also receive information about you from other sources and link or combine that with information we collect about you. For example, if you create or log into your account through a social media site or if you associate your social media account or your shopping loyalty account with your Innit account, we will have access to certain information from that site, such as your name, account information and friends lists, shopping purchase history, in accordance with the authorization procedures determined by such social media site or shopping site.

Use of Personal InformationWe may also receive information about you from other sources and link or combine that with information we collect about you. For example, if you create or log into your account through a social media site or if you associate your social media account or your shopping loyalty account with your Innit account, we will have access to certain information from that site, such as your name, account information and friends lists, shopping purchase history, in accordance with the authorization procedures determined by such social media site or shopping site.

We will use your data only if we are legally authorised to do so: if we need to use your personal data to provide you with the services that you asked or for the conclusions of a contract, if we have your consent and if we have a justifiable reason to use your personal data, or if we have to use your personal data. To provide you with the services that you asked or for the conclusion of a contract, we use your personal data to:

  • - Provide and deliver the products and services you request, process transactions and send you related information, including confirmations and receipts;
  • - Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts and support and administrative messages;
  • - Respond to your comments, questions and requests and provide customer service (for example, information about your Wi-Fi network may be used to troubleshoot any connections issues you report when you use our Services to connect with a Connected Appliance);

  • - Facilitate contests, sweepstakes and promotions and process and deliver entries and rewards;
  • - Link or combine with information we get from others to help understand your needs and provide you with better service; and
  • - Carry out any other purpose for which the information was collected.

When we are required by law, we may use your information to create a history of your orders or to observe any legal obligation.

Transfer of information to the U.S. and other countries

Innit Inc. is based in the United States but has affiliated companies in the European Union and Mexico. By using our Services, you consent to the transfer of your personal and financial information in another country, which will be either a European Country or the United States.

Innit Inc. participates in the EU-US Data Protection Shield regarding the collection, use and retention of personal data from European Union member countries. We registered with the US Department of Commerce as adhering to the principles of the data protection shield.

As explained here, we sometimes provide personal information to third parties as part of services so that they perform services on our behalf. If we transfer to a third party personal information received as part of the data protection shield, the access, use and disclosure of personal information by that third party must also comply with the obligations of the data protection shield or be part of an European Country.

Sharing of information

We may share information about you with our subsidiaries and affiliated companies, in order to provide you with our service or use your data in our name. For instance, Innit may process and store your personal data in the United States, on behalf of its subsidiaries.

This is completed as follows or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy:

  • - With third party vendors, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf;
  • - If you connect third-party devices and services to your Innit account or our Services, such as when you choose to interface our mobile application with Connected Appliances, your information may be shared with such third-parties, as per your direction and consent;
  • - When you purchase third-party products through us, we may share information with the suppliers of such products in order to fulfil your order;
  • - In response to a request for information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law, regulation or legal process;
  • - If we believe your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements or policies, or to protect the rights, property and safety of Innit or others;
  • - In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company; and
  • - With your consent or at your direction.

We may also use for research purposes and/or share with our partners aggregated or de-identified (i.e., anonymized) information, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

Innit may disclose your information if we believe that it is required by applicable law, regulation, operating contract, legal process or official request.

Innit may disclose your information in ways other than those described in this policy after you have informed and received your consent.

Third party advertising and analytics services

We may allow others to serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet and to provide analytics services. These entities may use cookies, web beacons and other technologies to collect information about your use of the Services and other websites, including your IP address, web browser, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked and conversion information. This information may be used by Innit and others to, among other things, analyse and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, deliver advertising and content targeted to your interests on our Services and other websites and better understand your online activity. We may also work with third party social platforms, such as Facebook, to serve ads to you as part of a customized campaign, unless you notify us that you prefer not to have information about you used in this way by completing the online form available here.

Security

We store your personal information to enable you to use Innit Services continuously, for a period of time necessary for the fulfillment of the relevant purposes under the conditions described in this Notice, for a period of time necessary to fulfill legal obligations as per example of tax or accounting obligations, or for any other duration that may have been communicated to you, unless you have exercised your right of suppression as stated in this Notice.

For example, we keep your transaction history to allow you to view your previous orders (and order again if you wish) and your delivery addresses for these orders and to improve the relevance of products and receipt that we recommend.

Do not track features

Some browsers support a "Do Not Track" feature, which is intended to be a signal to websites that you do not wish to be tracked across different websites you visit. Sites operated by Innit do not currently change the way they operate based upon detection of a Do Not Track or similar signal.

Your choices

Account information and access your information

In application of the applicable law, you have a right of access, modification, rectification and deletion of information concerning you as well as the right to request the portability of this information, upon presentation of your ID. You will also have the opportunity to object to the processing of your personal information or to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain cases.

When you consent to the processing of your personal information for a specific purpose, you may withdraw that consent at any time and we will terminate any processing of your information for that purpose.

If you wish to browse our websites anonymously, you can do this by logging out of your account and deactivating cookies on your browser.

Cookies

We use cookies, pixels and other technologies (collectively, "cookies") to recognize your browser or device, to learn more about your interests, to make available essential features and services, and to other purposes, including recognize yourself when you sign in to use our services.

Location information

When you first launch some of our mobile applications, first access certain features in the mobile applications, or visit one of the pages on our website that collect location information, you will be asked to consent to the collection of location information. If you initially consent to our collection of location information, you can later stop this collection by changing the settings on your mobile phone or tablet, or Internet browser. If you do so, certain features of our Services will no longer function, such as offers for ingredients or products from providers located near you. You can also stop our collection of location information by our mobile applications by following the standard uninstall process and removing the Innit application(s) from your mobile phone or tablet.

Promotional communications from Innit

You may opt out of receiving promotional communications from us at any time by following the instructions in those communications. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relations.

Mobile push notifications/alerts

With your consent, we may send promotional and non-promotional push notifications or alerts to your mobile device. You can elect to stop receiving these messages at any time by changing the notification settings on your mobile device.

How might this privacy policy be changed?

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time, so it is advisable to review it frequently. We will advise you of material changes to this Privacy Policy by revising the date at the bottom of this policy, and in some cases by notices through our website, mobile applications or other means. All amended terms will automatically be effective as of the date of the amended notice. Your continued use of the Services will be deemed to be acceptance of any revised Privacy Policy.
