  • Fresh Yellowfin Tuna 450 grams

  • Long Grain White Rice 280 grams

  • Soy Sauce 120 milliliters

  • Sesame Oil 2 teaspoons

  • Toasted Sesame Seed 2 tablespoons

  • Light Brown Sugar 2 tablespoons

Produce

  • Cucumber 50 grams

  • Cilantro 8 grams

  • Spring Onion 56 grams

  • Avocados 1 1/2

  • Ginger 2 tablespoons

  • Red Onion 60 grams

Canned/Bottled Goods

  • Rice Wine Vinegar 59 milliliters

Packaged Products

  • French Fried Onions 25 grams

Spices

  • Sambal 4 teaspoons

  • Salt 1 tablespoon

Preparation

  1. Cook Rice

    Bring ingredients to a boil. Stir once, cover & reduce heat. Simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit with lid on for 5 minutes.

    • 280 grams Long Grain White Rice
    • 710 milliliters Water
  2. Make Dressing

    Add ingredients to a food processor. Blend until smooth.

    • 120 milliliters Soy Sauce
    • 59 milliliters Rice Wine Vinegar
    • 2 tablespoons, peeled Ginger
    • 4 teaspoons Sambal
    • 2 teaspoons Sesame Oil
    • 2 tablespoons Light Brown Sugar
    • 1 tablespoon Salt
  3. Salad Assembly

    Prepare ingredients & add to a large bowl. Reserve some scallions & avocado for garnish! Add dressing & mix well. Salt to taste.

    • 450 grams, cubed Fresh Yellowfin Tuna
    • 60 grams, sliced Red Onion
    • 50 grams, sliced diagonally Cucumber
    • 1 1/2, chunks Avocados
    • 50 grams, sliced Spring Onion
  4. Taste

    Place rice first in a platter or a bowl. Add tuna mixture. Top with avocado chunks, sesame seeds, cilantro, scallions, and fried onions.

    • 1/2, chunks Avocado
    • 8 grams Cilantro
    • 2 tablespoons Toasted Sesame Seed
    • 1 tablespoon, sliced Spring Onion
    • 25 grams French Fried Onions
