Sweet & Sour Pork - Innit

  • Chicken Stock 1 cup

  • Jimmy Dean Pork Sausage 1 lb

  • Canola Oil 1/4 cup

  • Tomato Ketchup 1/2 cup

  • Toasted Unsalted White Sesame Seed 1 Tbsp

  • Dry Roasted Unsalted Cashew 1/3 cup

  • Granulated Sugar 1/4 cup

  • White Vinegar 1/4 cup

Preparation

  1. Prepare Ingredients

    Prepare ingredients.

    • 1, peeled, core removed, diced Fresh Pineapple
    • 1, seeds removed, diced Red Bell Pepper
    • 1, chopped Yellow Onion
  2. Create Sweet & Sour Sauce

    Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage, in small pieces, and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes or until browned. Add the pineapple, onion and peppers, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes or until slightly soft. Add the chicken stock, vinegar, and ketchup. Stir to combine. Sprinkle the sugar into the sauce. Mix cornstarch in a small bowl with 1/4 cups of water and add to the sauce mixing well. Let simmer for 8 minutes or until thick.

    • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar

  3. Serve & Enjoy

    Ladle sweet & sour pork into a bowl and serve with your favorite side, ours is rice! Garnish with cashews, green onions and sesame seeds.
