INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb Jimmy Dean Pork Sausage

  • 1/2 head Green Cabbage

  • 2 stalks Celery

  • 1/4 bunch Fresh Cilantro Leaf

  • 4 Garlic Cloves

  • 1 Green Onions

  • 1 Lime

  • 1 Yellow Onion

  • 1/4 cup Sour Cream

  • 1 Tbsp Honey

  • 1/4 cup Full Fat Mayonnaise

  • 1 tsp Chili Powder

  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt

  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

  • 3 1/2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

  • 1/2 cup Tomato Ketchup

  • 1 Tbsp Yellow Mustard

  • 1 Tbsp Light Brown Sugar

  • 4 Wheat Hamburger Rolls

STEPS

  1. Gather Ingredients

  2. Prepare Vegetables

    Dice half the onion and mince garlic, set aside in a small bowl.

    Thinly slice remaining onion half.

    Prepare cabbage, celery and green onions, and combine everything in a large bowl.

  3. Create Slaw

    Combine sour cream, mayonnaise, honey, salt and olive oil in a bowl.

    Zest lime into bowl and squeeze in juice of half the lime, mix to combine.

    Combine dressing and cabbage mixture, mix well to coat.

    Pick cilantro leaves into the bowl, season with black pepper and mix well to coat.

  4. Cook Sloppy Jims

    Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    Sauté the diced onions and minced garlic until translucent.

    Add sausage, in small pieces, and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes or until browned.

    Add chili powder, half the ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar. Mix to combine, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 30 seconds.

    Add remaining ketchup and season with salt. Mix to combine.

  5. Serve & Enjoy

    With the help of a spoon, pile sloppy jim mixture onto a bun bottom, top with slaw and cover with bun top.
