Maple Onion Marmalade Tri Tip with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes - Innit

  • Thyme 0.3 ounce

  • Yukon Gold Potato 1 1/2 pounds

  • Fresh Horseradish 2 tablespoons

  • Garlic Clove 6 cloves

  • Green Beans 1 pound

  • Kosher Salt 4 teaspoons

  • Black Pepper 2 pinches

Dairy & Eggs

  • Butter 1 tablespoon

  • Heavy Cream 1 cup

Pantry

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Olive Oil 1 tablespoon

Preparation

  1. Gather Ingredients

  2. Preheat

    Preheat the oven to 425 F. Line two sheet pans with foil.

    Connect Oven
  3. Season & Cook Tri Tip

    Season tri tip on sheet pan. Bake for 35 mins. Let rest for 5 minutes.

    TIP: Why rest? Because proteins continue to cook once removed from the oven!

    • 2 1/4 pounds Tri-Tip
    • 1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
    • 1 pinch Black Pepper
  4. Prep Mashed Potatoes

    Prepare ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce to med high heat and cook potatoes for 20 mins.

    • 1 1/2 pounds, baby, quartered Yukon Gold Potato
    • 6 cups Water
    • 2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
  5. Cook Green Beans

    Drizzle green beans with olive oil. Season. Bake for 10 minutes.

    • 1 pinch Black Pepper
    • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
    • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
    • 1 pound, trimmed Green Beans
  6. Season & Mash Potatoes

    Strain potatoes in sink. Place back in same pot. Mash all ingredients together. Cover to keep warm.

    • 1 1/2 pounds, BABY Yukon Gold Potato
    • 4 cloves, minced Garlic Clove
    • 1 tablespoon Butter
    • 1 cup Heavy Cream
    • 2 tablespoons Fresh Horseradish
  7. Sauce Creation

    Heat Maple Onion sauce on medium low. Add ingredients and cook for 5 minutes stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and set aside.

    • 1 cup Onion Maple Confit
    • 0.3 ounce, leaves removed Thyme
    • 2 cloves, minced Garlic Clove
  8. Serve & Enjoy!

    Slice tri tip in 1/4" thick slices and top with Maple Onion Marmalade. Serve with green beans & horseradish mashed potatoes.
