Preparation

  1. Prep Dough

    Preheat oven to 375F. Crack egg into a small bowl. Add water and whisk until smooth. Set aside. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to stretch it an extra inch on each side. Repeat with remaining sheet. Brush both sheets lightly with egg wash.

    • 1 Tbsp Water
    • 2 Tbsp All Purpose Flour
    • 2 , sheets Frozen Puff Pastry Sheets
  2. Put Pig in Blanket

    Place sausage on the lower end of the puff pastry sheet. Roll gently until sausage is completely covered by dough. With a pairing knife, poke small lateral incisions in offset rows until you reach the end of the dough. Carefully stretch dough to reveal openings of cuts. Roll sausage until all dough is wrapped around. Trim ends to reveal sausage. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with salt and caraway seeds. Repeat with remaining sausage and pastry sheet. Place on sheet tray and bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

  3. Slice & Serve

    Slice rolls and arrange on a platter. Top with jam of choice and garnish with oregano.
