Orange Sesame Chicken with Green Beans and Brown Rice - Innit

  • Orange Marmalade 2/3 cup

  • Chicken Broth 0.3 ounce

  • Green Beans 3/4 pound

  • Kosher Salt 1/2 tablespoon

  • Brown Rice 1 cup

  • Cornstarch 1 teaspoon

Pantry

  • Sesame Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Water 2 cups

  • White Wine Vinegar 2 tablespoons

Preparation

  1. Gather Ingredients

  2. Boil Water

    Combine all ingredients in a large pot and bring to boil.

    • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
    • 2 cups Water
    • 1/2 bunch Thyme
    • 2 cloves, smashed Garlic Clove
  3. Cover & Simmer Rice

    Add rice & reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 40 minutes. Let rest for 10 minutes. Remove garlic & thyme. Fluff rice with a fork.

    • 1 cup Brown Rice
  4. Preheat

    Preheat the oven to 425 F. Line sheet pan with foil.

    Connect Oven
  5. Bake Chicken Breast

    Assemble chicken on half the sheet pan, leaving room to add the green beans later. Season, then bake for 15 minutes.

    • 1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
    • 4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
  6. Orange Sesame Sauce Creation

    Prepare ingredients. Heat sesame oil, garlic & ginger on medium high heat for 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. *Chef's tip, whisk water & cornstarch together before adding it to the pot to avoid clumps. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 6 minutes, stirring frequently.

    • 2/3 cup Orange Marmalade
    • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
    • 1 teaspoon, finely minced Ginger
    • 1, minced Garlic Clove
    • 0.3 ounce Chicken Broth
    • 2 tablespoons White Wine Vinegar
    • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
    • 1 cup Water
    • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  7. Season & Bake Green Beans

    Season green beans. Remove the chicken from the oven and add green beans to the other side of the sheet pan. Cook for an additional 10 minutes.

    • 3/4 pound, stems removed Green Beans
    • 1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  8. Serve & Enjoy!

    Top chicken breast with orange sesame sauce. Serve with brown rice & green beans.
