Southwestern Beef Burger with Avocado - Innit

  • Ground Beef 1 pound

  • Chipotle Pepper 2 grams

  • Barbecue Sauce 2 tablespoons

  • Hamburger Roll 4

  • Lime 1

  • Chives 1 tablespoon

  • Kosher Salt 2 teaspoons

  • Black Pepper 1 teaspoon

  • Ground Cumin 1/2 teaspoon

  • Ground Coriander Seed 1/2 teaspoon

Dairy & Eggs

  • Monterey Jack Cheese 2 tablespoons

Pantry

  • Olive Oil 2 tablespoons

Preparation

  1. Form Patties

    Slice the chives. Mix all ingredients together. Mix into burger meat and portion in to 4 equal sized patties.

    • 2 tablespoons Chipotle Pepper
    • 1 tablespoon, sliced Chives
    • 2 tablespoons, grated Monterey Jack Cheese
    • 2 tablespoons Barbecue Sauce
    • 1 teaspoon, zested Lime
    • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin
    • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Coriander Seed
    • 1 pound, 80/20 blend Ground Beef
  2. Prep Topping

    Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Remove the flesh from the skin and place into a bowl. Add the lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper and oil and mash the avocado up well. Place desired amount on top of burger.

    • 1 Avocado
    • 1, juiced, zested Lemon
    • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
    • 2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
    • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  3. Cook Patties

    Preheat pan to medium heat. Add oil and cook your patties for 5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.

    • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
    • 4, toasted Hamburger Roll
  4. Serve and Enjoy!

    Pair with your favorite side.
