Baked Brie with Bacon Jam - Innit

Preparation

  1. Preheat Oven

    Preheat oven to 425F.

  2. Prepare Ingredients

    Prepare ingredients.

    • 2 Yellow Onions
    • 5 Garlic Cloves
    • 4 slices, sliced Bacon
  3. Create Bacon Jam

    Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook bacon, onions and garlic together with oregano for 25 minutes. Add remainining ingredients and cook for 15 minutes or until reduced.

    • 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • 1/4 bunch, leaves picked Fresh Oregano
    • 1/4 cup Sherry Wine
    • 1/4 cup Sherry Vinegar
    • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
    • 1 1/2 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
    • 1/2 Tbsp Kosher Salt
  4. Create Crostinis

    Slice baguette. Arrange baguette slices on a sheet pan, drizzle evenly with oil and season with salt. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

    • 1/2, sliced Baguette
    • 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  5. Season & Bake Brie

    Oil a cast iron skillet, pan or baking sheet. Place brie in skillet and season with oil, salt and pepper. Bake for 15 minutes.

    • 1, small wheel Brie Cheese
    • 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
    • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  6. Plate

    Top brie with jam and garnish with oregano. Serve with crostinis.

    • 2 sprigs Fresh Oregano
